Project David Update (October)
Finally! Milestone after milestone, God has now carried us into the fun phase – renovation has started!
Our contractor committed to a mid-January turnover as the latest date. God-willing, maybe we can hold our first Christmas service in the new sanctuary.
While overseeing the construction, our renovation team and board members will tackle next to the task of reviewing and acquiring the minimum equipment and fixtures necessary for the new place. Fund drive initiatives will be in full gear to quickly pay off the generous help extended to us while ensuring our usual church expenditures are not impacted.
Our prayers, both as a church and from our individual prayer closets, are needed more than ever. To offer a thanksgiving to the Lord who makes all things possible. To ensure the smooth, on-time and budget-friendly renovation work. To bless the people who support the project in many ways with their money, time and talents. To guide our leaders and committees that every decision makes good use of the resources shared to us.
May our renovation story be like of Nehemiah’s rebuilding of the wall, that when the wall is all done, we knew deeper the meaning of teamwork, integrity, confidence thru God out of our comfort zones. That we see even more how great our God is.
