Project David is in full swing now than ever before, since the purchase of our new worship centre has been confirmed. The campaign started when the church first made the bold move to rent the place in Wilson. No longer renting from $500 monthly rent to $3500, it was a testimony of God’s provision and the brethren’s desire in honouring God through pledges and faithful giving. Savings for the building fund was started and three congregational sites to support later, we are now on the next big move the Lord directed us to take.
The marketing committee, formed to focus on raising further funds, joined our Durham congregation last Sunday. Bro Kurt Uy presented how the new worship centre would reinforce the church mission and vision, and the many ways that we can help raise the $250 thousand funding for renovation and startup cost. Dedication to pray and to support our leaders, donations from our pocket or solicitation from others will be needed.
The team will continue to make their congregational rounds to rally our brethren to take part in what seems to be a daunting task. Take part so you don’t miss to see how the Lord will make the impossible possible for us as He has done so many times in the past.
If you would like to learn more about the ways you can help, you are more than welcome to visit our Project David page. There you can learn more about what this project means to our church and how with your help, be it through pledge forms, one-time donations, or your time, can truly make a difference.
