We all become Christians the same way. Regardless of the circumstances that led you to faith in Jesus, we all are saved the same way. We are all saved when God, through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, by our faith in Him, declares us forgiven and free. For each and every one of us, whether you’re a “good” sinner or a “bad” sinner, have been saved by the same amount of love, grace and sacrifice of Jesus. The ground is indeed level at the foot of the cross. There’s a reason we call it amazing grace. Because it is!
What is surprising though is while we often declare that we have received this amazing grace from God, we often exhibit very little of it in our daily lives. If we have received it abundantly from God, aren’t we supposed to freely share it with others as well?
Here’s the basic principle: When it comes to grace, whatever you have received from God, you have to freely give away.
- “So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.” (John 13:34, NLT)
- “Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.” (Romans 15:7, NLT)
- “Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.” (Colossians 3:13, NLT)
Have a blessed week!
