Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Word International Ministries is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. WIN Ontario members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as  making the worship centre ready for the services, to helping new immigrants settle. We believe that we can all do our part, no matter how small, to build the kingdom of God.

MEDIA MINISTRY

The objective of the media ministry is to use technology in its various forms in order to more effectively communicate to the church and the community. The major expressions of this ministry are: the website, the printed bulletin, the sermon CDs, and the video projection. It is also in charge of producing slide presentations to promote activities and special events.

FINANCE MINISTRY

The objective of the Finance Committee is to identify, perfect, and manage the finance system for the congregation. The finance system is the process of raising, managing, and dispersing the finances so that the mission and vision of the congregation can be achieved. We believe that money is a resource simply entrusted by God to us. This ministry therefore ensures that accountability and integrity are upheld in the financial management of the church.

TECHNICAL MINISTRY

While mostly working in the background during worship services and other activities, the importance of the technical ministry cannot be taken lightly. They ensure that sound system, musical instruments and other equipment are working properly so that the full impact of the music and preaching can be appreciated by the congregation. The members of this ministry arrive early to prepare the sound system and go home late to make all equipment used are accounted for and stored properly.

NEW IMMIGRANTS MINISTRY

The New Immigrants ministry coordinates various resources from the congregation to help serve the needs of new immigrants and new members. Made up of people with a gift of service, this ministry helps new immigrant members by providing and coordinating transportation, sourcing furniture and small appliances, assisting during moving and relocation, and pointing resources like government agencies and programs that might be helpful for the new immigrant.

WORSHIP CENTRE MINISTRY

The Worship Centre Ministry supervises all areas of building maintenance and custodial care. This is done through the scheduling of volunteer cleaners, coordinating with various ministries regarding room use and schedules, regular inspection of facilities and coordinating beautification and improvement projects.

SPECIAL PROJECTS MINISTRY

The Special Projects Ministry conceptualizes and implements church-wide special events. These projects include Valentine Dinners, Bowling Fellowships, Workers’ Appreciation day and many other endeavors that need inter-ministry coordination.

PRAYER MINISTRY

Prayer moves the hand of God. WIN Ontario is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty.  Te objective of the Prayer is to see to it that the church remains sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit through prayer and intercession.Throughout the week, volunteers of the prayer ministry pray for the pastors, leaders and members as well as special needs of the congregation.

USHERING MINISTRY

The objective of  the Ushering Ministry is to maintain order during the worship service so that the people may fully enjoy the presence and message of the Lord. The ushers are  considered the “gatekeepers” of the church in the sense that they are the ones that are first seen by visitors and members as they come to the sanctuary. As such, they see to it that the visitors and first-timers are welcomed and their needs and inquiries are properly attended to. The responsibilities of this ministry include greeting and welcoming of guests, handing out the weekly bulletin, assisting the congregation in finding seats and collecting tithes and offerings.

MUSIC MINISTRY

The mission of the Music Ministry is to worship God and to lead others to worship Him. It is team of volunteer musicians who are passionate about exalting our Lord through music, to honor Him in their daily lives and to encourage others to use their musical talents for the glory of God.

The Music Ministry serves the church every week by leading the congregation in corporate worship.  The ministry is also involved in special activities such as Easter and Christmas Presentations, Anniversaries and other events.  The goal of the ministry is to disciple its members to become more like Jesus Christ as they continue to develop their skills to serve God and His church with excellence.
